Software Engineer
Tullett Prebon Holding Corp is an inter-dealer broker of a wide variety of financial products. We are looking to hire a software engineer to join our Middle/Back Office development group. The group is responsible for creating and supporting applications for the entry, tracking, reporting, clearing, settling, and reconciliation of trades in the U.S. Treasury, U.S. Agency, Repo, Mortgage Backed Securities, and Corporate Bond markets.
Functional Responsibilities:
o Work with users to define project specifications
o Design, code and test applications.
o Document functional and technical designs, test and cutover plans, and operational procedures.
o Resolve production problems, often under stressful conditions.Requirements:
o Technical skills: Oracle PL/SQL, UNIX, C, Java, scripting (shell, perl)
o Technical experience: minimum 5 years
o Fixed income experience: minimum 3 years

Job Title Senior Network Engineer
Department IP Network Engineering
The Senior Network Engineer reports directly to the VP of Networks and Security. The Senior Network Engineer performs work for the overall integration of the Tullett Prebon Holdings Inc network including participation in planning, design, installation, maintenance, management, and coordination of Tullett Prebon Holdings Inc North American wide area and local area networks and network security infrastructure. The ideal candidate for this position is a technical engineering contributor with good knowledge and experience in the area of local and wide area networking and network security implementation and administration. Will perform network and security procedures and recommend improvements for the network infrastructure and network security policy. Will work as part of a team and as a strong technical resource for four other Network Engineers that also report to the VP of Networks and Security.
Essential Functions
Include the following.
• Is responsible for the daily monitoring and management of the IP network and security appliances.
• Develops and follows procedures to handle network and security fault events.
• Builds, configures and maintains network switches, routers and various voice and security appliances.
• Monitors and reports on network and system capacity utilization.
• Applies continuous improvement techniques to ensure the network and security infrastructure attains maximum performance, security and availability and provides reports regarding this topic to management.
• Is able to appropriately prioritize LAN/WAN faults, then diagnose and resolve problems in the shortest possible time all while under pressure from the various other impacted business groups.
• Must ensure that the LAN/WAN environment remains secure and appropriate recovery and redundancy issues are addressed.

• Good knowledge and expertise in local and wide area networking and communications including; all forms of networking media and SPT, PVST, IGMP, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, RIP-II, MPLS, VoIP etc.
• Good knowledge and expertise of Cisco Systems networking hardware and software and network and security support systems including HP Openview, Solarwinds, Cisco Works 2000 (LMS and VMS), Cisco Secure Access Control Server, Cisco Secure IDS, Nessus and Snort etc.
• Good knowledge and expertise of Checkpoint, Netscreen, Bluecat and Nokia security hardware and software utilized by Tullett Prebon Holdings Inc.
• Good knowledge and expertise of IPsec and client virtual private networks, certificate authorities, one time password technologies, 802.1x, VMPS, Security Event Monitoring and other auditing, authentication and authorization mechanisms and systems.
• Good knowledge and expertise of network performance monitoring and investigative tools including Cisco NAM-II, MRTG, Cacti/RRDtools and packet sniffers such as Ethereal and Network General.
Industry Experience
• Experience in the financial services industry is preferred.
• Experience in a network management support role.
Education and/or Other Requirements
• Completion of a Bachelor’s degree with course work in computer science, or equivalent work experience.
• Six years of experience as a Network Engineer plus four or more years experience in an IT related discipline.
• Current certified Cisco CCNA and CCDA.
